Housing & Residential Life hires more students than any other unit on campus. We have leadership and work study positions available.<\/p>\n
To be eligible for these positions, you must have work study funds as part of your financial aid package. Students interested in the positions listed below should complete a Student Employment Application<\/a> and submit it along with a copy of your current class schedule.<\/p>\n The majority of our residence halls have front desks staffed by Desk Assistants (DAs). Duties include performing administrative tasks, opening and closing the residence hall at break periods, checking out equipment, answering general questions, distributing mail and packages, etc. For further information, contact your residence hall desk during the academic year or the Housing & Residential Life Office at any time.<\/p>\n Duties include greeting customers, scanning, filing, handling mail and performing other office related tasks within the Housing & Residential Life Office located in Walnut Hall. For further questions, please contact Housing & Residential Life.<\/p>\n Throughout our residence halls, we have student GMWs working closely with our professional GMW staff. Duties include performing janitorial services and recycling collection throughout the BSU residence halls. These positions provide the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of residence hall students.<\/p>\n The positions are demanding as well as satisfying and require a significant commitment. Being a part of the hall and larger Housing & Residential Life staff team provides incredible opportunities for support and personal growth. To be eligible for summer employment, students need to be pre-registered for at least 6 credits for the following fall semester (and fully intend to enroll). An exception is made for students who are enrolled at BSU during the summer and will be completing a degree at BSU during the summer.
