Biography

Christy is a wife and mother of three. She started her nursing career working as a nursing resource nurse, in the areas of med/surg, orthopedics, postpartum, pediatrics, nursery, emergency room, and intensive care. Christy finished her Bachelor of Nursing degree at ÐßÐßÂþ»­ in 2000, Master’s Degree in Nursing Education from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2013 and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Winona State University in 2016. Christy has been in nursing education since 2000, and has taught in Practical Nursing, Associate Degree nursing, Prelicensure, and RN-BS programs, both online and on campus delivery. Currently Dr. Cook is an associate professor of nursing at ÐßÐßÂþ»­ specializing in translation of evidence into practice, acute care nursing, simulation, and neonatal abstinence syndrome.
